This little beauty is a 'rebus' or a word puzzle. Rebus' were very common during Georgian and Victorian times, allowing someone to express their feelings in a discreet and subtle manner. Rebus messages were either all pictograms or a combination like this one, of words and pictures that when strung together form a message. In this case we have the word 'For' then a Yew tree, then an Eye and the word 'Live'. The message is simple and from the heart - For You I Live! Set in 14k white gold with .24ctw of soft baby pink sapphires, this ring feels both sentimental and like a breath of sea air wafting over the warm sands of some distant island. Can you hear the waves lapping at the sand while you lay next to that someone special?
